Product overview
A trivet has one job: sit between a hot vessel and a surface that must not be marked. This one is moulded in solid silicone at 8 mm thickness, rated from −40 °C to 230 °C, and it does that job without a coating that can flake away and expose a different colour underneath.
Solid colour, no surface layer to fail
Many budget trivets are a coated substrate. Once the surface layer chips — which it does at the point where a hot pan lands repeatedly — the item shows a different colour underneath and gets replaced. Solid moulded silicone has no such layer, so the appearance at year three matches year one.
Heat performance that covers the whole kitchen
The 230 °C rating covers a pan straight off the hob, a baking tray out of the oven and a coffee server off an espresso machine. At the cold end, −40 °C means the same item can be used in a freezer or chiller without stiffening or cracking.
For retail, hotel and catering programmes
Diameter, thickness and colour are all adjustable on a new mould. Logo can be debossed into the surface for hotel groups and catering brands that want the item marked without a printed label that wears off. For retail, a printed sleeve or colour box with your barcode is applied at source.
